Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Oveli Cricket ("the platform", "we", "our"). By signing in with Google or creating a player profile, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Oveli Cricket.
You must have a valid Google account to sign in.
By using the platform you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and belongs to you.

2. Your account

You sign in using Google Sign-In (OAuth). We do not manage passwords.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
One Google account may be linked to one player profile. Creating multiple player profiles for the same person is not permitted.
You may delete your player profile at any time from the Players tab in the app.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use Oveli Cricket only for its intended purpose — cricket scoring, player management, and tournament organisation. You must not:

Register a player profile using false, misleading, or someone else's personal information.
Attempt to access, modify, or delete another user's data.
Use the platform to harass, impersonate, or harm other users.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform in bulk.
Deliberately enter incorrect match scores, fabricate statistics, or manipulate tournament standings.
Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the platform.

4. Player profiles and public data

By registering a player profile you consent to your name, mobile number, playing style, and match statistics being visible to all other registered users. This is necessary for team managers to find and add you to squads. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

You retain ownership of your personal information but grant Oveli Cricket a licence to display it within the platform for the purposes described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Match statistics recorded by scorers are factual records of play. You may not demand removal of accurately recorded match statistics.
If your statistics are recorded incorrectly due to a scorer error, contact the match organiser to request a correction.

5. Match scoring

Only the user who created a match ("the scorer") may update live scoring data for that match.
The scorer is responsible for the accuracy of all data they enter.
Live room codes allow other users to watch scoring updates in real time. Viewers cannot modify any data.
Match records are saved to the scorer's account and associated tournament (if applicable).

6. Tournaments

Any signed-in user may create a tournament. The creator is the tournament organiser and is solely responsible for its fixtures, results, and fair administration.
All tournaments are discoverable and viewable by other signed-in users. If you wish to run a private tournament, do not use this platform.
We reserve the right to remove tournaments that violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Oveli Cricket name, logo, and application code are the property of their respective owners.
You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit the platform or its code without express written permission.
Match data you enter (scores, statistics) remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to store and display it within the platform.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Oveli Cricket is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times, error-free, or that stored data will never be lost. You are responsible for keeping records of important match data independently if required.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Oveli Cricket and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or reputational harm.

10. Termination

You may stop using the platform at any time and delete your player profile.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who violate these Terms, without prior notice.
On termination, your player profile data will be removed. Match scorecard records may retain non-identifiable statistical entries.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable local law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the jurisdiction where the platform operator is based.
